Member administration

WebAlive has member features that allow you to tailor the users experience to their own needs.

For example, you could publish a quote on your website and only give one specific member access to view it. Alternatively, you could also add a product catalogue for a specific group of wholesale clients that have a different price structure or product range than your retail catalogue.

You can also send emails to your members, giving you a highly effective email marketing tool. This is particularly effective when used to encourage repeat custom.

This type of functionality turns your website into a highly effective business tool, rather than just a means of advertising.

 

How members are added

 Currently there are two ways members are added to your website.

If you have online Member Registration option enabled, your website visitors can Register from your website and become a member.

The registration form will collate the member’s details into a database for you to use.

You can add a Member from the Console.

From the main Console screen, click “Member Admin” or select “Member Admin” from top menu.

  • > This screen displays all your current members.
  • > To create a new member, please click “New”.
  • > Enter your new member’s contact details. Ensure you include email address, username and a password.
  • > Click “Save”.

How to edit existing members

 From the main Console screen, click “Member Admin” or select “Member Admin” from top menu.

  • > Select the member you wish to edit.
  • > Click “Edit”.
  • > Alter the member’s details as appropriate.
  • > Click “Save”.

How to delete a member

 From the main Console screen, click “Member Admin” or select “Member Admin” from top menu.

  • > Select the member you wish to delete.
  • > Click “Delete”.
  • > Click on “Yes” to confirm.
  • > Click “Save”.

warning Once a member is deleted, you can not undo the action. Please consider to export your member database before you perform member administration.
