How do I copy content from an existing page to a new page?

To copy contents form an existing page to a new page is not difficult at all. You can easily do that by following the instructions given below,

1. For example, to copy all the contents from the “Home” page to a new page name “My Home”. So at first, you need to edit the existing “Home” page by clicking the button“Edit a Page”.

2. Now select the “Home” page from the list and click “Next” until you reach to the “Page Text Editor”.

3. Now place your mouse courser in the page’s text body and press “CTRL+A” - this selects everything on the page. It is much more reliable than trying to select everything with the mouse.

4. Now press “CTRL+C” - this copies the selection to the clipboard. Now click “Cancel” to come out from that page.
5. Now you need to add a new page “My Home” by clicking the button “Add a Page”.

6. Fill up the “Button Text”, “Page Title”, “Page Heading” and select “Page Restriction” .

7. In the “Page Text Editor”, press “CTRL+V” to paste the contents you have copied from “Home” Page. Please select option 3 which is Styled HTML (Embedded) from the paste option displayed in the editor.

warning  During paste contents, you will get following options interim’s of how you want to see the contents in your webpage;

Clean HTML  Inserts the contents of the Clipboard in HTML. 
Styled HTML (Inline)  Inserts the contents of the Clipboard in HTML format with style information contained inline. 
Styled HTML (Embedded)  Inserts the contents of the Clipboard in HTML format with style information contained in an embedded style sheet. Imported styles will be merged with existing styles. 
Plain Text  Inserts the contents of the Clipboard without formatting or style.

 

8. Now click “Save” and visit the page from browser. You will be to see a new page created with same contents as “Home” page.
